About the Warrington Farmers Market:
- Friday Nights from 4:30PM - 7:30PM (May 31, 2024 - September 27, 2024)
- Warrington Farmers Market is located at: 3129 Bradley Rd, Warrington, PA 18976
The Warrington Farmers Market (WFM) was started in 2020 out of a desire to create continual revenue for the maintenance of the recently built all-abilities playground called
Lions Pride Park (LPP).
The originator of the WFM, Mariah Drenth-Cormick, sat on the board of the LPP fundraising committee as a mom of kids with special needs and an active Warrington community member. With the integral help of the
Warrington Lions Club and
Warrington Township, she voluntarily ran it for the first 2 years of its existence. Due to the amount of work that went into this type of ongoing community event, she felt she couldn’t give it the amount of time it required and passed it to the Township to run.
Unfortunately, due to so many other amazing things happening in Warrington Township, the 2023 WFM didn’t reach the level everyone wanted it to reach. They closed early feeling a bit defeated but honestly, so many other great things happened that year under their watch, it just goes to show…when it is YOUR labor of love…YOU better stick with it. So, for the 2024 season and beyond. Mariah paired up with the Warrington Lions Club with the unconditional support of Warrington Township to reopen the Warrington Farmers Market in 2024.
NEW LOCATION - NEW MANAGEMENT - NEW STYLE OF FARMERS MARKET
New Location Details:
We are moving the market across the street. WFM is moving from Lower Nike Park (where it has been for the last three years) across Folly Road to Upper Nike Park, the home of Lions Pride Park. (Upper Nike is sometimes referred to as the soccer field park.). The actual address is 3129 Bradley Rd Warrington PA 18976. It is also where the NEW Warrington Community Center was recently built.
Why did we move to this location?
We realized that while we were raising money for Lions Pride Park, which is an ALL-ABILITIES PLAYGROUND we were not an ALL-ABILITIES FARMERS MARKET. The grave incline of the walkway created an obstacle for those with mobility issues including those with walkers and wheelchairs. We surveyed the Lions Pride Park area again (it was not an option when we opened WFM in 2020) and realized we could now utilize the area and make it easier for people of all mobilities to attend. It is a parking lot that has ample space for all uses and happens to be completely flat.
What is available to the vendors at the new location compared to the old location?
- Bathrooms
- New Location:
There are several permanent bathroom locations on site. No more porta potties.
- SET UP SURFACES
New Location: - The WFM will be on asphalt parking lot with all flat spaces. No more steep hill, gravel and grass.
- OVER-ALL LAYOUT OF SPACE
- New Location:
Long straight line up of vendors can extend over several parking lot rows if needed. Benches and umbrellas will be placed throughout the market and lots of picnic tables and seating will be located at the music and food truck area that will be designated as “The Grotto.”. This will be close to the bathrooms, electricity (for the musician only), and a main water source if needed to fill up a bucket or for use by the bubble party vendor.
Thinking you might want to be a vendor with Warrington Farmers Market (WFM)?
Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor with the WFM. Here are some baseline things you may want to know. We run things more like a family compared to a business. We hope to build a community of vendors and attendees who will respect each other and get along. Please join us if you are interested in being part of that culture.
This event has 3 main goals.
- Fundraise for Lions Pride Park (all-abilities playground located on the same grounds as the new location of WFM).
- Allow local small businesses a venue to sell their products.
- Provide our amazing community a place to gather together while supporting local businesses.
There is a flat rate of $25 per space.
Each year an early bird discount will be offered to those who secure their place in our season, EARLY.
- Local homemade or remade items only for the Farmers Market main events.
- Seasonal Vendors may apply to have multiple spaces in the lineup.
- We will invite all different types of vendors to join us, in 3 of our 18 events this season.
- All Vendor Nights (AVN) will be held on June 28th, July 26th, and Aug 30th. AVN Vendors-Limit 1 space only Submit an interest form for consideration to join the Farmers Market or the All Vendor Nights.
- Communication will begin via email within 3 days of the form being submitted.
What your vendor fee will include:
- A 10x10 space on the blacktop with approx. 3 feet of buffer space on each side. Full-season vendors can park in the grass behind their spaces. Limit of one car per 10x10 spot. Pop-up vendors are not guaranteed the ability to park with their spot, but will be able to pull up to unload and park very close. The majority of our spaces have the ability to park with, but no guarantees.
- Advertising your company and products. We will be all over social media leading up to each market. The lineup will be finalized by Wednesday of each week and shared in all surrounding community pages via Facebook and Instagram. We ask our vendors to also use social media to tell your adoring fans where to find you. Three times a week, one vendor will have a spotlight post to share their story and feature their product. This will be done in order of commitments, meaning if you are only with us for one night, you will be down towards the bottom of that list. If you are a vendor that has committed for the whole season you will be at the top of that list.
What your fee will not get you:
- Access to any water or electricity for vendor set up/use. Our previous location had easy access to both in each pavilion. You will need a generator at the new location but you will have access to the main water source for fill-up type uses not direct vendor use weekly.
- Tent...table…chairs and so on. Anything you may need that night is YOUR responsibility.
- Help. While your fee doesn’t come with people to help you automatically, we are all willing to help you if needed. Need to set up a tent but your helper is running late? Flag Mariah down. Need to use the restroom but it’s only you? Again, Mariah will happily watch over your tent while you do what you need to do. If there is weekly help that will be needed, just let Mariah know ahead of time. (For example, in the first two years one of the vendors was an older female baker with a bad back. Her sweets were amazing but she always needed help getting that heavy tent up and in place. Not an issue as long as we know your needs. Mariah will help you in any way and is planning on working with the local high school to get volunteers who need the community service hours as part of the graduation track)
- The right to do whatever you want.
Just because you paid to be a vendor does not mean you get to make up your own rules. The Market Manager and her team walk around the whole night. If you are observed breaking a rule, you will be warned verbally with a follow-up email that weekend. If you are observed for a second time you will get the warning straight from the Market Manager and then a follow-up email, plus a two-week break from the market. If you break a rule for a third time, you will be asked to pack up ON THE SPOT…and the season will be over for you.
The Farmers Market Managers are a close-knit community and they discuss everything…including vendors who are not complying with the rules.
