Lions Pride Park

In 2016, the Warrington Lions proposed a gift of $180,000 to Warrington Township to help build a new inter-generational and fully accessible park. The township had been looking into new recreation facilities and we ended up partnering in the planning of LIONS PRIDE PARK.

No tax money was spent on this project! Funding came from generous individual and corporate donations, philanthropic grants and in-kind donations of material and labor. Groundbreaking was held on March 29, 2019.

Full details of the park can be seen and donations made on their website lionspridepark.org

A unique feature of the park is a customized smartphone trail guide application which works with GPS and electronic Bluetooth beacons to show you around the park. As you approach features of interest in the park, the app notifies you and gives you additional information about the feature. It is being further enhanced to help the blind and learning disabled find their way around as well. The app is free, collects no personal data and has no ads. Download LIONS PRIDE PARK app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store

Construction started in October 2019 and was completed on October 1, 2020. On October 2, the ribbon cutting ceremony was held and the park officially opened!

Donors of $150 or more will be recognized in the park. Our recognition walls are almost full so new donations will be recognized in the Grove.

After you complete your donation, you will be taken to an "inscription" page where you can tell us what you want written.
